mailto: links are one of the most annoying things in Web development for both users and programmers.
Developers hate them because they use a special syntax to format some of the email settings which they always seem to forget when they need it most.
And on the other hand users hate them because most of the times they look like other regular links, but when they click on one such mailto: link, the user's email client is automatically started, blocking the user's view or delaying some other action the user wanted to take unaware the link was a mailto: link.
jQuery Confirm Mailto provides a simple solution for solving the user's problems with these kind of links, allowing developers to show an intermediary step before opening the user's email client.
This intermediary step is a popup dialog where the user is warned and asked if he wants to continue with sending a mail to the attached email address.
Some formatting and callback options are available, all detailed in the included demo page.
